Methods of cleaning solar panels

There is more than one method used to clean solar panels and it really depends on the time of day we are cleaning, the angle of the panels and where they are. Most often we use a system that cleans the panels with de ionized water and a specialized brush/pole system commonly known as a water fed pole and also used at times to clean windows. The brushes we use are designed exclusively for the cleaning of solar panels.

It all begins with access. We need to be able to access the solar panel array before the cleaning begins. Most residential solar panel cleaning in San Diego is rooftop solar. I’m this case we evaluate if the roof is safe to work
on, most of the time it’s a yes. We then connect our water filtration system and run the hoses which connect to our water fed pole and soap dispenser. The whole
solar panel array is scrubbed while at the same
time being rinsed by de ionized water. The eco friendly soap we use helps remove pollen, atmospheric fallout and bird droppings. The panels are rinsed clean with a brush designed exclusively for solar panel cleaning. The result will be shiny and clean solar panels that should yield more output than dusty and dirty ones.
